WITH THOUSANDS OF YOGA TRAININGS OFFERED FROM ONLINE AND AROUND THE WORLD WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT???
AUTHENTICITY
Our Ashtanga Yoga Intensive Training is affiliated with Samskriti Foundation in Mysore India, Mysore Yoga Traditions Conference, and will be assisted by Dr. M A Alwar, a professor from the Maharaja’s Sanskrit College in Mysore. Our course includes talks by numerous Sanskrit scholars covering a wide range of topics. This allows you to absorb ideas about yoga directly from some of the greatest philosophers in India. We are able to offer you a glimpse into the culture and mindset of Indian yoga that very few other trainings can give.

Mysore Yoga Traditions is an insightful documentary which was directed and produced by Andrew Eppler. This film sheds light and perspective on the history and cultural background of the yoga that has come from Mysore which accounts for approximately half of all postural yoga practices in the world.
COMPREHENSIVE
Comprehensive curriculum including functional anatomy and physiology, ancient philosophy, healing techniques and hands on experience so you walk out with a robust set of skills, and confidence in your knowledge.
You will learn foundational sequences from which you can create customized sequences on the spot if needed. You will also learn to recognize patterns of imbalance in the bodies of students, and be given tools to ensure their safety. While staying grounded in a traditional philosophy and classical yoga sequences we will also explore a global fusion of techniques.
HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY

You will be immersed directly in the history and philosophy of yoga in Mysore India with the people who live there! You will get a whole new perspective on yoga as elders, scholars and spiritual leaders from Mysore India tell the story of Yoga in their community. The more yoga philosophy you already know, the more you will grow through this experience! When philosophy is explained by senior Sanskrit scholars it takes on a whole different light and becomes a direct transmission of world view and life experience.
Our graduates can say with confidence that they have studied a classical form of yoga and that they are practicing in an ancient tradition.

Our Three Pillars
01
Yoga
Methodology
02
Anatomy & Physiology
03
History & Philosophy
OUR TEACHING METHOD
Learn how to adjust postures with discernment, reading the body language of your students accurately. You will learn how to adjust safely and with confidence! Through careful repetition we will guide you to find and cultivate the center from which your voice comes from when you are speaking about yoga. If you are tuning in remotely, you will need a practice partner to work with during the adjustment portion of the training. You will have access to an online archive of adjustment techniques so you can practice them at your own pace. Whether you are online or in person, there is no substitute for practice!

Our training will include a thorough understanding of the postures, Vinyasa counts, adjustments and modifications in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series. These sequences are highly adaptable and have a strong influence on many other forms of yoga.
The safety aspects of adjusting will be discussed in detail. You will learn how and when it is appropriate to adjust as well as when it is not. We will teach you the anatomical markers by which you can assess a body, whether it is your own or someone else's. You will also learn the language of yoga anatomy and learn about preventing and working with injuries. At the end of the training everyone will have thoroughly memorized not only the Ashtanga Series, but the Sanskrit names of the postures, and all aspects of practicing postures and adjusting them smoothly and safely with confidence.
ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY
Do you find it boring to memorize complicated muscles from diagrams? Our approach is to use Functional Anatomy. You will experience what the muscles we are learning about actually do in your body and also what happens if they become too strong or too weak. We give you many tools for assessing the symmetry and stability of your own or anyone else's body and methods of correcting imbalances.
Graduates of the program will have many techniques to work with and an introduction to bodywork that is very useful to help understand posture adjustments. We believe a competent yoga practitioner should be able to correct their practice methods when they are experiencing pain and difficulty in postures. Our training gives you the experience and tools you need to do this. You can then go on to help your students on the same way.

HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY
Our Intensive Training has an excellent philosophy and history section. We have a history and philosophy section like no other. We will study the tradition of Nathamuni's Yoga Parampara and learn about the Vishishta Advaita philosophy that Mysore is famous for.We focus on the philosophy of the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali Sutras from both eastern and western perspectives so that these classical works take on meaning and become a part of our world view and understanding of yoga.
We want our students to graduate with an articulate and accurate perspective on what yoga means, both historically and today in our own paradigm. We will look carefully at the history of yoga and give you an overview of how yoga has evolved into its current form. You will have a clear understanding of which parts of yoga are ancient and which parts of it are modern, how old the techniques you are practicing and sharing with others are, and where they came from. We give the most current information based on the latest research in this field.
